Weconomy Impact

Anesvad Foundation is launching Weconomy Impact to promote Social Entrepreneurship initiatives in Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Ghana, specifically to combat Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).

We believe that there is a fairer, more collaborative and equitable way to generate development in Africa, and that is why we are looking for companies and projects that aim to make a social impact in Africa through their activities.

Meet the 3 selected projects

Projet Ama

Ivory Coast

Projet Ama is a solidarity and mutual aid project that aims to restore dignity and reintegrate women suffering from neglected tropical diseases into their communities through an income-generating activity. They train, finance and support the women identified throughout the process of setting up their activity.

Helix Biogen Institute

Nigeria

Helix Biogen Institute is a firm dedicated to promoting excellence and competence in the field of “Omics” and Molecular Biology. Helix Biogen Institute sought to contribute significant effort in developing a well reputable point-of-care-diagnostic kits which may be locally available for some NTDs such as Schistosomiasis, Loiasis, Onchocerciasis and Yaws.

Sosai

Nigeria

Sosai’s target is to strengthen the capacity of women in NTD Communities on the production, sales, service and installation of renewable energy products, empowering them to contribute their quota to support their families with the expected income increase and ensure progress towards the internationally agreed development goals.
